Prosciutto Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

One of the most beloved appetizers today is the jalapeño popper! Its spicy, savory, extremely flavorful, and in many cases fried. So over here at Out There Flavors we have given it some thought and decided to give our twist on this spicy snack. For starters we have decided to take the baked route as frying tends to reduce the flavor profiles and we definitely don’t want that. Covering beautiful ingredients with fried dough generally just masks the awesome taste of the main ingredient, and in this case that’s the jalapeño. Plus that just means you can eat more without the guilt. In the end this will be a lean healthy immune boosting snack. Yes that’s right immune boosting. Jalapeños are rich in vitamins A and C and potassium. They also have carotene -- an antioxidant that may help fight damage to your cells – as well as folate, vitamin K, and B vitamins. Many of their health benefits come from a compound called capsaicin. That's what makes the peppers spicy. Are you stoked yet! Good, it gets better. Alright that’s enough talking, lets eat. Recipe is below.
